To note the elected Vice-Presidents for the period 2022 to 2026 are:
Africa – Professor Marawan Shahien (Egypt).
Asia – Professor Keh-Jian Shou (Chinese Taipei).
Australasia – Graham Scholey (Australia).
Europe – Professor Lyesse Laloui (Switzerland).
North America – Professor Walter Paniagua (Mexico).
South America – Professor André Assis (Brazil).

7. Election of President for the period 2022-2026. Vote was taken (Charles Ng).

On 25 September 2020 and again on 10 June 2021 a letter was sent to all Member Societies, in accordance with the ISSMGE Statutes and Bylaws seeking nominations for the Office of ISSMGE President 2022 to 2026. The following nominations were received:
- Marc Ballouz: Nominated by Lebanese Geotechnical Engineering Society, supported by USA Geotechnical Society.
- Mounir Bouassida: Nominated by Comité Transnational des Géotechniciens d’Afrique (CTGA).
- Malek Bouazza: Nominated by Australian Geomechanics Society.
- Michael Davies: Nominated by British Geotechnical Association.
- Askar Zhussupbekov: Nominated by Kazakhstan Geotechnical Society, supported by Iraqi, Belorussian, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgarian, Georgian, Kyrgyz, Estonian, Mongolian, Nepalese, Pakistan, Russian, Syria, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan geotechnical societies.

At the ISSMGE Council meeting, after discussion, Marc Ballouz (Lebanon) was elected the next ISSMGE President 2022 to 2026. 
T-voSibGt-v expresses regret at the results of the last elections and confidence in the victory in the 2026 elections to the Chairman of the International Promotion Committee T-voSibGt-v Professor Askar Zhusupbekov.
